Manchester United lost further ground in the Premier League title race yesterday, losing 4-2 to Leicester City at the King Power Stadium, in turn increasing the pressure on manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

United, despite taking the lead through Mason Greenwood in spectacular fashion, found themselves 2-1 down entering the final ten minutes of the contest, but thought they had done enough to rescue a point when Marcus Rashford made it 2-2 with just eight minutes remaining.

However, Jamie Vardy restored Leicester’s lead just 15 seconds after the restart, before the Foxes wrapped up all three points in stoppage time through summer signing Patson Daka.

Defeat has left United fifth in the table, five points behind current table-toppers Chelsea.

With the defeat at Leicester having extended United’s winless run to three matches in the league, pressure is mounting on Solskjaer, but the club are believed to be standing by the Norwegian.

Elsewhere, on the transfer front, United are reportedly considering a move for France and AS Monaco midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni.
